Most of Madame Pivot's models are available in 5 different heel heights: 5cm, 7cm, 8cm, 8.5cm and 10.5cm.
Choosing heel height affects stability, comfort, and how long and refined the leg line appears.
| Height (cm) | Height (in) | Stability & use | Aesthetic appearance |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5cm | ≈ 2.0" | Most stable and easiest to wear; suitable for those not used to heels. | Very slight lift; minimal change to leg line. |
| 7cm | ≈ 2.75" | Stable and comfortable for longer periods (walking or dancing). | Subtle lengthening of ankle and calf. |
| 8cm | ≈ 3.15" | Balanced height for regular heel wearers. | Noticeable leg-lengthening while still natural. |
| 8.5cm | ≈ 3.35" | Requires some heel familiarity; still manageable for extended wear. | More refined and visibly “prettier” line. |
| 10.5cm | ≈ 4.13" | Requires good balance and ankle control; not recommended for beginners. | Longest, most dramatic silhouette; strongest visual effect. |
Most people start comfortably at 8–8.5cm, because it provides a compromise between beauty and comfort.
Choose 7cm if you prioritise stability.
Choose 10.5cm only if you are already comfortable balancing in heels.
In short:
8–8.5cm = practical starting point + elegant appearance.

The heel height is measured from the top of the heel cup to the ground, and is denominated in centimetres (cm).
